Vegas Indoor Skydiving

Location
Vegas Indoor Skydiving, formerly known as Flyaway, operates America’s first indoor skydiving facility built in 1982. At Vegas Indoor Skydiving guests will earn their wings and experience bodyflight during a simulated skydive experience in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip. The experience is similar to skydiving with the addition of a mesh trampoline floor and foam padded walls. Guests are able to simulate the freefall aspect of skydiving without the use of an airplane or parachute.
We use a Vertical Wind Tunnel to introduce guests to the sport of Indoor Skydiving. The tunnel produces enough wind to support the weight of an average adult. At Vegas Indoor Skydiving each flyer will attend a brief training class, suit up in all the necessary flight gear, then jump in the tunnel and fly. The entire experience will take about an hour.
To provide a safe and memorable indoor skydiving experience to the general public, understanding that everyone will learn and grow at different rates, adapting to the ability of the flyer, and to encourage their development by sharing our love and knowledge of flight.
Tunnel Ratz LLC, d.b.a. Vegas Indoor Skydiving was formed in 2005, but our principals have been teaching people to fly since 1992. Prior to our formation, Keith Fields, our Managing Member and Founder, enjoyed 6 years as Manager of Flyaway Indoor Skydiving Tennessee and another 7 years as Manager of the Vegas location. Chris Fields, Vegas Indoor Skydiving Co-Founder, has also gained “hands on” experience contributing 10 years between both Flyaway facilities.
As they enter their 3rd year since the manager buyout, the Tunnel Ratz are still flying away, except now they fly under a new name, "Vegas Indoor Skydiving" (formerly known as Flyaway). With efforts underway to construct a new facility, Vegas Indoor Skydiving will continue to offer the thrill of flight at the 200 Convention Center Drive location.
In respect to the Flyaway name and legacy, we honor our heritage and hold proudly that we were formerly known as Flyaway Las Vegas. Other than the name, everything else will remain the same including staff and management. So come fly with us at Vegas Indoor Skydiving.
