Hello, My name is Jane Siess and I am the Director of Griffith Preschool, Kindergarten and Child Care. Griffith also has a nurturing Infant/Toddler Program.
Children are the most precious resource on the planet. You have the exciting opportunity and the awesome responsibility for helping them grow into the unique wonders they were created to be. We at Griffith want to be your partners in the process.
Our purpose is to guide your child’s development, growth and maturity into avenues of education, physical and emotional stability. We strive to accomplish this by presenting an early childhood program that meets their cognitive, social/emotional, physical and spiritual needs.
Each child is provided with a carefully planned, theme-based, educational curriculum developed with the guidance of our staff. Our teachers encourage creativity through free and imaginative play, arts and crafts, music, science and fine and gross motor activities. What looks like play to the observer and feels like play to the child, is really a carefully planned program, developed to build self-confidence, expand understanding, teach responsibility and increase motor skills. Each staff member is educated, well-trained, understanding and devoted to their work with young children.
Our goal is to develop an excitement and desire for learning in young children that will remain with them throughout their life. By encouraging children to develop at their own pace, they will acquire a positive self-image and a healthy level of independence. We have designed a learning environment that includes small group activities. This design addresses the developmental needs of the young child, providing opportunities for building academic foundations for reading, math, critical thinking, problem solving and social responsibility as well as Christian character development.
While our Christian faith motivates our concern for children and their families, we do not teach a particular religious doctrine. Our entire program - Infant/Toddler, Preschool, Kindergarten and Day Care – exists to be an essential part of the support system that helps you grow healthy children and a healthy family. We believe that it does take a village to raise a child. We’re here to be part of your village.
Before enrolling, parents are encouraged to visit our Center and observe the classes, meet our staff and tour the facility. Your child is welcome to participate in any one of our activities that is in progress.
